Embroidery Specialist
Job description
Ensures customer satisfaction by operating embroidery machines to create embroider garments and other product with logos and by printing high quality, finished products using a variety of mediums. Follows established workflows, processes and procedures in place; creates and maintains a high level of service and quality standards.
Skillfully operating, tending and maintaining embroidery equipment and performing any combination of the following tasks involved in embroidering logos on garments and other materials in accordance with work order specifications which includes but is not limited to the following:
- Preparing embroidery machines by loading and readying fabric, threads, needles and goods to ensure they are correct and match specifications
- Operating the embroidery machines and monitoring the embroidery process
- Checking proofs/samples and continually checking the quality of embroidered materials to ensure customer specifications are met
- Keeping the embroidery machines in good working order
- Removing, stacking, and packing embroidered material
- Troubleshooting equipment and product issues
- Reviewing and prioritizing work to be produced, in consultation with the promotional products team and customer service
- Operating effectively in a high-paced, demanding environment
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment
Technical and Educational Requirements
High school diploma.
Two years’ experience operating embroidery machines and/or large/wide format printers and equipment is preferred.
Able to comprehend and apply basic mathematical principles and use a calculator and technology to the degree required to perform the job.
Ability to read and interpret documents (such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals).
Works with minimal supervision.
Fundamental understanding of the basic principles of the embroidery and/or printing industry.
Analytically- and mechanically minded with strong attention to detail.
