Metzgers is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Digital Press Operator to join our Digital Operations team. This role is responsible for producing high-quality printed materials such as books, magazines, calendars, and directories. The ideal candidate will operate and maintain digital printing presses, ensuring customer specifications are met with precision and efficiency.
- Operate and maintain digital printing presses and related equipment.
- Prepare presses for production by loading paper and setting ink levels.
- Monitor print jobs for quality and accuracy, checking proofs and samples.
- Troubleshoot equipment and print issues to maintain workflow.
- Stack, pack, and palletize printed materials in various stages of completion.
- Review job specifications and prioritize tasks in coordination with customer service.
- Maintain accurate production records and communicate any quality or scheduling concerns.
- Work overtime when necessary to meet customer deadlines.
- Collaborate with team members across departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Uphold confidentiality and company policies at all times.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the printing industry.
- Strong preference for candidates with digital print experience.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications.
- Basic math skills and familiarity with calculators and relevant technology.
