Bindery Operator

Location: Toledo, OH
Department: Digital Production

Metzgers is seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Bindery Operator to join our Digital Production team. In this role, you will play a key part in producing high‑quality finished print products by operating bindery and finishing equipment with precision and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of bindery and finishing equipment, including (but not limited to) folders, cutters, stitching‑trimmers, die‑cutters, and folder‑gluers.
• Perform collating, inserting, assembling, wrapping, shrink‑wrapping, and packaging tasks.
• Review proofs and samples to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
• Remove, stack, and pack printed materials for shipment or final processing.
• Review and prioritize daily production work in coordination with the customer service team.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of industry experience operating production or bindery equipment preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machinery.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and apply basic mathematical concepts.
• Must be able to pass a pre‑employment drug screen.
